Solid carbide center drills - CCD

The carbide center drills create a precise hole at the face of a stock for the lathe center. This hole accommodates a live center, supporting the workpiece during turning and preventing chatter or run-out, especially for longer pieces. The center drill's created hole serves a crucial role by aiding the operator in accurately positioning the drill bit at the center of the workpiece. This precision is instrumental in preventing any deviation during the drilling process. Featuring a two-part tip, they incorporate a small pilot alongside a larger countersinking area, granting accurate and efficient hole preparation.

Our carbide center drills (CCD) are suitable for hardened steel, low/high alloy steel, tool steel, cast steel, and cast iron. HGT specializes in manufacturing carbide center drills. We prioritize quality using German rods, Swiss CNC grinders, advanced coatings, and German digital measuring instruments.
